Microchipping
Microchipping is a safe, affordable and permanent way to greatly increase the chances of finding your pet, should they get lost.
The microchipping procedure is simple and pain-free. An identichip the size of a grain of rice is inserted under the skin around the neck. Each chip has a unique code which is registered to you, and which can be read by the RSPCA, Dog Wardens, animal shelters and veterinary surgeries.
Every stray that is brought to our surgery is scanned, enabling the animals that have been chipped to be returned immediately to their owners, whilst those without chips are sent to re-homing centres.
We recommend that all responsible dog and cat owners consider microchipping.
