Michelle Moggridge      MA VetMB GPCertSAS MRCVS



Michelle qualified from Cambridge in 1994. She has worked in mixed practice and also referral centres before coming to join Burghley in 2004. Michelle enjoys the variety that comes with being a small animal veterinarian and the chance to get to know and build relationships with both clients and their pets. Michelle passed her GPCertSAS certificate in 2010 which enables us to perform many more complex operations. Since completing the Veterinary Acupuncture course in 2000 Michelle particularly enjoys being able to offer this service to our clients and she enjoys a very high success rate. Michelle has two children, Abby & Jack, who Michelle spends her spare time with. Michelle has an ever increasing menagerie including 4 dogs, 7 cats, 2 hedgehogs, a chameleon and a tortoise, so being at work is home from home!


Jessica Coombs     BVetMed MRCVS

Jessica qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in July 2008 and joined Burghley as her first job. She particularly enjoys the detective work involved in small animal medicine. Jessica is very much a dog person and especially loves Labradors. In her spare time, Jessica enjoys singing and is an active member of Stamford Choral


Jane Leighton      BVSc MRCVS



Jane graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2012 and worked in small animal practice in South Wales before joining Burghley in March 2015. She is particularly interested in exotic animals such as small mammals and birds, and enjoys working with these species. At home her menagerie comprises an African Pygmy hedgehog, two rescue rabbits and a three-and-a-half legged rescue dog, Shadow. In her spare time Jane enjoys going for long walks with Shadow and her husband, Gary, and baking for her family.
