Insurance

We strongly advise all our clients to take out Pet Health Insurance to provide peace of mind for owners should their pets need specialist medical help.

Veterinary fees can soon build up if your pet has a serious or ongoing illness, or is involved in an accident, and could run into thousands of pounds. When your pet’s treatment is covered by an insurance policy, all you have to pay is the excess, which may be as low as £50.

We advise that you shop around to find the right policy for you and your pet. Check the small print for exclusions, and check whether the policy is for lifelong or annual cover.

We can handle claims direct with the insurer for amounts over £500, and we will fill out the forms for all claims at no extra charge, unless you require these completed on the same day. Generally it is best to settle your account at the time of treatment and then claim from your insurer, certainly if your account has not been settled by the insurer within 30 days, then you will be required to pay in full and take the matter up direct with your insurer.
